A Good Day
This is a very intense piece. As someone who has struggled with mental illness, this hits the nail on the head.On a technical note, this is solid writing. There are some run-on sentences, which work in the deep parts but less so outside them. Also, watch out for passive tense. A piece this solid needs active tense every bit of the way.It wasn't always a fun read, but it was gripping and felt very real.

A Good Day
"I did not know," I whispered, reflecting on my Marine brother's silent struggles. His hidden battles echoed my own doubts. Faith has been my refuge, teaching me that seeking help is a courageous act.No one should face these challenges alone. Professional guidance can help silence our inner demons. I urge fellow veterans and all people to reach out; our invisible scars deserve attention. Together, we can support one another—camaraderie is our greatest strength.
